Welcome to Bara’s beehive!  As part of the beehive, I strongly encourage collaboration and communication with parents and students to acheive success for all. Here is a little bit about myself:

• I am originally from Chicago and am a big sports fan of football (Bears) and baseball (White Sox).  I however am a Carolina Hurricanes fan regardless of the Blackhawks recent Stanley cup. Anyone wearing any of these team’s appareal gets a high five!
• My favorite activites are: traveling, photography, kickboxing, and playing frisbee with my beloved dog Sasha.
• I graduated from Western Michigan University with a minor in integrating creative arts. I am also currently pursuing my masters in integration of technology in the classroom.
• Last year I recieved my National Board certification for teaching.
• This is my 9th year teaching at Pleasant Union. I started teaching second grade for the first three years and have been a third grade teacher since.

Please check this blog frequently. In place of a newsletter this year, I will be updating my blog weekly with curriculum ideas, classroom information,  and websites for the students to practice. I look forward to a fantastic year!
